Deep Fried Cookie Dough Bites Recipe
Wednesday, September 9th, 2009Over in California, the LA County Fair has arrived, and here at Taste of Nature, we’re all still kids at heart. As with other fairs and carnivals, you go there to enjoy the rides, the sights, and, of course, the greasiest food ever. Our favorites are the deep fried candy bars and we’ve replicated the recipe so now you can enjoy deep fried Cookie Dough Bites within the comfort of your own home!
The ingredients are as follows:
1 box of Cookie Dough Bites
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
Deep Fried Cookie Dough Bites Directions:
- Chill or freeze your Cookie Dough Bites, depending on preference.
- In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine egg, milk, and vegetable oil with your dry ingredients and mix well.
- Cover bowl and place in refrigerator to chill.
- Heat 4 cups of oil or shortening to 375 degrees F.
- Dip your Cookie Dough Bites into the batter and gently place into oil. Cook only until the outside is golden brown.
- Remove from oil and place them on brown paper to allow the oil to drain.
- Allow a few minutes for Cookie Dough Bites to cool.
That’s it! It’s easy and quick enough to make when you have a craving. We hope you enjoy this new twist to an old favorite!
